if you have integrated graphics. you always want to put the second monitor on that. with your main monitor plugged into the gpu so it will get full gpu power. having two monitors at high res at once on your gpu is stressing the shit out of it especially when you play games. so either get a separate card to display second monitor or use integrated graphics.
