Unlock maximum gaming performance with this updated 2026 guide to safely overclocking your Nvidia graphics card for higher FPS. In this tutorial, I show you exactly how to use MSI Afterburner and RivaTuner Statistics Server (RTSS) to fine-tune your core and memory clocks. We cover step-by-step stress testing and in-game benchmarks to ensure your overclock is 100% stable without visual artifacts or crashing. Whether you are running the latest RTX 50 series or tuning an older GPU, this guide will help you manage power limits, set custom fan curves, and lock in the perfect graphics profile to boost your PC system performance in minutes!

This video also covers how to overclock nvidia gpu in 2026 using graphics card like nvidia rtx 5090, rtx 5080, rtx 5070 ti, rtx 5070, rx 5060, rtx 4080, rtx 4070 and older GPUs for both desktop and laptop! for High-End Gaming Hardware, PC System Maintenance, GPU Performance Optimization, System Overclocking and more Windows 11 PC Tuning

Steps
1: Get MSI Afterburner
2: (Optional) Setup RTSS overlay
3: Decide on game or benchmark for testing gpu overclock
4: (Optional) GPU Fan speed, GPU Power limit, Core voltage adjustments
5: Boot your game/test – Add +50MHz to Core
6: Look for GPU crash, GPU glitches or low fps
7: Add an extra +50MHz and keep testing
8: Repeat adding +50MHz and testing until GPU crashes or glitches
9: When GPU crash, set core back to previous value before it crashed (for me, it was +500)
10: Restart your game/test – if it crashes, reduce the core clock again until stable
11: Overclock GPU VRAM
12: Benchmark GPU at stock settings for baseline performance result
13: Add +250MHz (or other amount) to GPU mem
14: Run the benchmark again and repeat adding +250MHz (or other amount) and benchmarking until it game crash
15: Reduce the mem overclock to previous stable value (or whichever gave best benchmark score)
16: Test in all games you play and use other GPU benchmark/test tools to test your overclocks

  1. The UPDATE Guide to Overclock Your GPU in 2026 is here! – My previous video on this was made over 8 years ago! it was time for a much needed update, refresh and new additions for 2026! Let me know what GPU you have and what Overclock (or undervolt) you are using

  2. Benchmarks are heavily overrated when it comes to performance. It doesn’t matter what your benchmark tells you! Even if you get 400+ fps consistently. If your game gets stutters when you move the mouse around, no theoretical statistics matter. Go ingame and test it out when you actually play the games you want to test it on. Only there you will actually see the real results. Stresstesters like Furmark or Furmark 2 are fine when you want to test out the maximum your pc can give but benchmarks in games are 100% useless.
