  1. So press a button on your phone (after navigating to the app) instead of pressing the button on that spare remote ?

  2. How does the door lock work in cold winter temps? I don’t have great luck when the temps get close to 0 F

  3. So you want a smart switch to reboot your modem. Cool. Or you could get your home automation to just send a reboot command to your modem. I wonder which is cheaper?

  4. Physically pressing a button on an RF remote so it can transmit insecure data someone could record and retransmit to open your door and all the cost of that device and the extra remote is insane to me. Simply closing the contact path used by the 2 wire old school remotes with an esp32 and the minor amount of knowledge and skill people of the past had seems approximately 1000x better. But most folks are to busy doomscrolling to put any energy or thought in I guess.
