Don’t get the Samsung 990EVO (no DRAM!), get the PRO instead and put it into a Terramaster case.
Forget about all the whistles of cheapish SSD that claim to be fast and reliabel. They are fast on paper only and not very reliable. Be sure they got physical DRAM (1GB for each TB) and are compatible to SMART and TRIM modes (Mac).
Next to the 990 Pro, the only SSD I would get is the LaCie Pro. Older and cooler Pro3 is sufficent with 2.8 GB/s, no need for the Pro5 in most cases. Both got good chipset and DRAM.
Do you have a video for creating a budget NAS storage or other solution for everyday people that just want to backup their phone pictures and video? That don’t rely on a single SSD
this is not up to date…prices have gone up 100%
