I have a routine through IFTTT to close my garage door once I’ve left a specified area. I’ve noticed that it works less than half of the time. When it does work I’ve noticed that it doesn’t activate the routine until I’m halfway to work, which my commute is 13 miles. I’ve even gone as far as shrinking the area to around my garage. In theory it should close when I get into the house. (side note I have a detached garage)
Hi Chard. You make great videos. Keep up the great work. I need some help with my smart home setup. I have a Wyze camera on my main level and I have my echo show 5 in my basement. I like the notifications on my cell phone but I would like to be notified with an alarm sound from my echo show 5 or when the Wyze hears my name when spoken. Can this be done? If so, can IFTTT do the job? Thanks for reading my post. I look forward to seeing more of your awesome videos.

Hi ok, i like ur set up… but my ifttt app does not look this on my phone. Can i use a public computer to open my ifttt acct. And create recipies? As of now i can only use other peoples. They do not apply to me mostly…
